"Blue" Photo Challenge

I♥ this little mischievous face. :) How can he be 3 this week?! My brown eyed boy, I always thought I would have a blue eyed child. But I love those brown eyes, just like his daddy.

This is the first photo challenge I have ever entered. Found out about it through the lovely Sheye. Check out the weekly contest here is you like.

These photo challenges make me think more creatively and it pushes me beyond my normal shooting ideas. Love that!

Superhero

A new superhero stage has emerged. One, where most days he is in costume (although there is almost always a complaint and  an "it doesn't fit" aspect to it as well).  

I love it, love it. Love the imagination and the questions...."Mommy, can spiderman fly?", "Does buzz jump?". I have been named Cat Woman and Little bo Peep. I wish I could look like cat woman in that black outfit!

These guys are some of our dear friends here. Liam goes to nursery school with Sammy and I'm glad we ended up putting them in the same one. Whenever we ask Liam what he did in school he says, "Played with Sammy". Brian challenged him to find out one other child's name at school this morning. I think they feel safer being together, not that Liam is too afraid of being on his own however.

While the boys were at school this morning, we ladies had planned a little photo shoot which ended after about 3 pictures because I had not recharged my extra camera battery. I have now learned my lesson, glad it was with a friend, sorry Laurel!

When we were home, we got to spend a few days with our friends and their little guy, Ezra. I have known Lyncey since I was about 12, but we've become better friends in the last few years. It was so nice to spend some time together at the cottage having "the best swim of our lives" together. Love you guys and love your sweet little "sonny". Thanks for letting me photograph all the cuteness.

Big

Here is the little one on his first day before nursery school. He LOVED it and so do I :) He was the first guy to do show and tell and brought in 3 things, one being a picture of his cousins (how cute is that?). New "digger" shirt for the first day.

And this is his favorite new past time. Our neighbor's gave us an old bike. Liam has not been seen on the sidewalk without this rusty old thing, I think he could be a cyclist one day with the amount of time he rides. Yesterday he was taking a corner a bit to speedy while watching his friend come home and took a huge fall. I thought that may make him a bit fearful, but he got right back on and drove home.

We're BAAAAck!

Back to real life, making dinner and cleaning and going to to school and spending ALL day with my small friend with endless "whys". I never seem to adjust too easily (to anything that is) but after a week I think I am ready to start posting a few pics that caught my attention right away. 

We had a lovely time at home as usual and we got everyone sick as usual too. Liam loved playing with his cousins and on the deathly long trip home kept saying he didn't want to go back to Philly because they couldn't come with him. I think he devised a plan where everyone had spots to sit, Bea being on Uncle B's lap and Uncle Tad being on mine.

This fall Liam is starting nursery school, which he doesn't seem a bit nervous about, he keeps reassuring me that everything will be fine. My, how the tables have turned.... What happened to that baby who wouldn't let anyone hold him but me?

I have lots of pics to go through and will post some more soon. I'm sure I will have about 1739 pictures of him on his first day to school too.
