Good Things...

Grandparents and chocolate. Good for both me and Liam. Grandparents help and give me a bit of a break with someone else to adore little Liam and chocolate cookie batter, well that is just one of my favorite things. It was so nice to have you here Nana and Bumpa, thanks for loving our little Liam so much - but I know it isn't hard.

Can you tell? Liam got a haircut again. A little too much got cut off for me, but he does looks cute. I did almost yell at the lady to stop cutting!! Instead, I was just sad about it all afternoon.

I'm really not sure if you could get any cuter than this little face

Morning blog reading

I read this quote by J.C Ryle on a blog this morning and felt so encourged by it, so I thought I would share in hopes of encouraging someone else.

“Reader, if God has given you His only begotten Son, beware of doubting His kindness and love, in any painful providence of your daily life! Never allow yourself to think hard thoughts of God. Never suppose that He can give you anything which is not really for your good. Remember the words of Paul: ‘He who spared not His own Son—but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things’ (Romans 8:32).

See in every sorrow and trouble of your earthly pilgrimage the hand of Him who gave Christ to die for your sins! That hand can never smite you except in love! He who gave His only begotten Son for you, will never withhold anything from you which is really for your good. Lean back on this thought and be content. Say to yourself in the darkest hour of trial, ‘This also is ordered by Him who gave Christ to die for my sins. It cannot be wrong. It is done in love. It must be well.’"

And just because it feels silly to post without a picture

Ahhh...

Our first year in seminary is over! God has been good to us during this year despite some of the biggest challenges we have ever faced together. Could have been much worse though. But, I'm happy it is all done. I am enjoying Brian's company these last few days and so is Liam.

We found this little creek behind some houses, fun for Liam and a great place for pictures.
I think he is looking at a dog in this one and yes, the neighbour knew he was peeking in. And there is me in the relection.

One of Liam's favorite pastimes is doing buckles, therefore he loves the swing because he can do the buckles over and over again. He also enjoys the highchair for the same reason. Must be a stage?
Who says boys clothes aren't cute? Look at this hat!
Not totally crisp, but still my precious boy.
Thanks for comments on "Sammy". They loved the picture.

What do you think??

Meet sweet Sammy. Liam's little friend and his mama is my friend.

This is my first image that I have actually printed and given to someone, so I was just wondering what you all thought. Sam wasn't too interested in smiling that day, but I think this image really does capture him and one of his looks. My disclaimer is that I did not edit this image, a friend did which I was so thankful for!

A Whole Bunch

So, here are lots of pictures for you to see. This camera sure is lovely. I am loving taking pictures of him and some other kids around here. Thanks again for all the nice comments and e-mails about the blog. I feel honoured that you check up on us and care to know how we are doing.

I like this one, it is dreamy looking to me.
Liam loves his Crocs. He would wear them everywhere if he could.
His first little cuts on his knees.
Peeking out his swing
There is a grocery store here that gives out balloons at the cash. Liam always lets his go. So, here he is saying bye to the balloon. I was actually trying to get my camera before he let them go, but he just couldn't wait.

This encompasses Liam these days - saying see ya to the stroller. It is close to impossible for me to take him for a walk in the stroller. He just screams "A Da" which means all done!!
Strawberry Face with a bonk on the head from falling on the sidewalk.
